Jorge Navarro and Team Federal Oil Gresini Moto2 achieve an important result in Germany by finishing the ninth race of the 2018 Moto2 season in tenth place. It was not an easy race for Spanish rider, who started the race from 16thposition on the grid: Navarro moved off decently and showed a good race pace, which allowed him to stay in the second group for the whole race.
With this result, Navarro finds a little bit of consistency after the thirteenth-place finish in Holland and takes a bunch of points that bring some serenity and confidence within the team’s pit-box, ahead of the two August races at Brno and Spielberg.
10th– JORGE NAVARRO #9
“With the heat and the hard tyre it was difficult, because I was basically sliding around the whole circuit. This morning’s changes have surely helped: we managed to get two/three tenths quicker, which at this track they’re like gold. My start wasn’t the best, but I managed to lap within the low 25s, which was my goal. I had fun with Quartararo even though I would have preferred to beat him at the photo finish. Tenth pis a good result anyway.”
