Jorge Navarro continues to build momentum as the Federal Oil Gresini Moto2 rider completes the second of three days of Moto2 testing at Jerez de la Frontera. Favourable weather allowed Navarro to lapped consistently around the Andalusian track – which was in perfect conditions from the morning session already.
The former Moto3 title contender crossed the finish line almost 60 times today while trying a wide range of different setting adjustments for his Kalex machine and aiming at improving his performance. Navarro is currently the 19th fastest in the combined times of the first two days with a personal best time of 1’42.764 – slightly more than a second off the quickest rider on track.
The team led by Tommaso Raponi will perform the final day of testing tomorrow.
JORGE NAVARRO #9
“It has been a productive day no doubt. We managed to try several different settings already from the first session, some of which turned out to be quite interesting and some others a bit less – but that’s what happens in testing. We still need something in order to get closer to where we should be but I’m confident we’ll get there. The important thing is to get better step by step and not to lose focus.”
